The story follows Iko Sunstone, aka the Burning Ghoul, a masked warrior who is drawn into the world of Caligo by a single promise and his relentless defiance against the God Hands or the Hands of Time. The world-building is masterful, and the characters are intriguing and well-developed, each carrying the weight of Hyperia on their shoulders.
One of the most appealing aspects of Lunora is the jarring transitions from relatively tame storylines to gore and despair. Each character develops and contributes to a beautiful web of storytelling, with each decision driving the future of the kingdom. The blurring of the lines between good and evil is masterfully done, and the central antagonist is well-developed, along with many others that give great tribute to the overarching odyssey the story takes.
